MUSICAL HERITAGE OF ANDALUSIA

 

 

MUSICAL HERITAGE OF ANDALUSIA is the result of modern research techniques of recuperation, transcription and study.  It does  not aim to give a stereotypical image of Andalusia, but rather to save from oblivion great Andalusian composers of universal music such as Rodrigo de Ceballos, Cristóbal de Morales, Francisco Guerrero, Luys de Narváez, Alonso de Mudarra, Francisco Correa de Arauxo, Manuel Blasco de Nebra…

 

These figures, whilst known by specialist, have not in some cases , had the chance to reach the general public, even thougt their work represents a landmark in Andalusian, Spanish and Universal culture.

 

Together with these names, MUSICAL HERITAGE OF ANDALUSIA,  aims to highlight the work of such illustrious Andalusians as Manuel de Falla and Joaquín Turina or composers of the importante of Isaac Albéniz, whose basic inspiration was Andalusia. This has all been achieved with updated techniques of pereformance in keeping with present day musicology
